Options Information

Customers should be aware that all options can only be ordered at the same as the building.

Installation

A full nationwide building erection service is offered across most of our range of buildings. The buildings are installed by experienced fitters. Erection is subject to conditions, such as a suitable base being laid prior to arrival and clear access to the buildings location. Full and comprehensive fitting instructions are included with every building, allowing DIY installation if required. Generally you will require a few basic tools, such as a battery operated screw-driver, hammer, knife and stepladders to complete the installation. Please see the bottom of the page for our sub-base preparations - If you have any questions regarding this document - please do not hesitate to contact the office.

Top Coating

All buildings require a top coat of a good quality timber treatment which must be done within 28 days of the building being delivered if the guarantee is to be valid. Here at The Rightshed we can offer a factory Top coating service to extend the life of your building and increase the guarantee to 10 years against rotting of the timber. All we ask is that you retreat the building every three years.

Bearers

A quick and easy method of lifting the floor of the building off the damp ground. Some form of base is always recommended. The bearers as supplied are tanalised for many years of rot-proof protection.

Painting

Painting is carried out prior to delivery, and is carried out to the customers colour requirements. Painting may increase expected delivery times.

Window Boxes

Window boxes are an option with many buildings. If you require more than one then simply tick the option box and update the quantity you need when you view the contents of your basket.

Verandahs

Verandahs are porch style covered extensions usually to the front of a garden room or summerhouse. Verandahs will usually comprise a roof canopy, side rails and a floor.

Terraces

Terraces are ground level extensions usually to the front of a log style building, they comprise a floor and side rails but unlike the Verandah there is no extension to the roof.

Door Positions

Door positions are no cost options and are shown only to determine the correct layout for your building. Where this is offered there will be a small layout plan below the key features of the building to help you to choose.

Floor

It is common with the European manufacturers for the floor of a log cabin styled building to be an optional extra. If you do not select this then the building can be erected on a flat, level and firm base and you can install a floor of your choice. Please note, however, the majority of our log cabins include the floor at no extra cost.

Log Store

A Log Store is an optional extra that provides an open sided roof extension to the side of a log cabin. It is ideal as the name suggests for logs or for storage of bicycles if security is not an issue.
